Brahmotsavam starring Mahesh can be called as one of the worst movies of the year 2016. It was a long home video and there was no editing at all. Srikanth Addala could not handle the stars. He wanted to make a movie like Karan Johar but ended up making a Telugu serial for TV channel.
The screen play was also very bad and the second half of the movie was better than the first half. A good screenplay and good edition would have saved the movie. Samanthas introduction was also very bad in the movie and at one point people thought that there was no need for this character.
In Brahmotsavam, the exact opposite of Seethamma Vakitlo was shown- although Mahesh Babu says in the climax that there is no good or evil person and that everyone is in between, Sreekanth Addala has shown every character except Rao Ramesh’s as being the personification of good.
The ideas of Sreekanth Addala are brilliant, but he should have done the movie in a sensible manner by actually showing the moral of the story through the characterization of characters in the movie instead of just stating random messages in the climax. He could have consulted a senior.
Now Mahesh is busy with Murugadass and wants to release the movie around Sankranthi it is reported. Srikanth Addla is not seen these days. He is not even seen in the company of Dil Raju his mentor.
After Brahmotsavam Addala is almost in hibernation and may be Dil Raju should be able to bring him back for the direction again.
For that the producers must have lots of guts and Addala should properly work this time. Lets hope Mahesh will get a hit and Addala will get a chance.
