Justice SA Bobde could be the new Chief Justice of India it is reported. Chief Justice Gogoi has recommended the name of the senior-most Judge from the Supreme Court for the post.
Gogoi has sent the recommendation to the Ministry of Law and the same would be approved. Bobde is almost finalised the successor for Gogoi. The Judges are already discussing over the matter.
Gogoi was the 46th CJI of India and Bobe will be the 47nth CJI of the country. The Present CJI will demit the office on November 17 and by that time the Ayodya Ram temple verdict will be out.
The CJI has implemented the convention of giving the post to the Senior most Judge in the Supreme court and there is no dispute about this.
