BRS MLAs attended the Assembly today wearing black badges as a symbol of their protest over the chief minister’s remarks on BRS women MLA and former Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy. The members demanded an apology from the Chief Minister for his remarks.
In an attempt to address the issue directly, BRS leaders submitted an adjournment resolution in the House to facilitate a discussion on the CM’s remarks. However, the speaker refused and assured to give time to speak.
In addition to the Assembly protest, BRS has announced plans to organize protests across the state today, aimed at condemning the Chief Minister’s comments. Yesterday CM Revanth charged that it was Sabitha who ditched the congress in the end and shifted to BRS for power.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikarmakra also condemned that Sabitha enjoyed power and Minister for ten years in Congress regime and then shifted to BRS for the sake of enjoying power. Sabitha was almost in tears yesterday for the remarks that the CM and Deputy CM have made on her for ditching the Congress party.
She encouraged Revanth to Join the Congress and shifted to BRS in the end.
