After losing 3 states, the BJP is desperate to come back to power at the centre. It is concentrating on South for the MP seats. It has the option of getting support from YSRC provided Jagan wins a good number of seats.
To give an edge to Jagan in the coming elections, both Modi the Prime Minister and Amit Shah the BJP chief have chalked out programs. They would campaign in February in Guntur, Visakhapatnam and other areas promoting the BJP and exposing Chandrababu Naidu.
At the same time, Chandrababu is also targetting Modi from time to time in the name of funds and also special status to Telangana. But who agreed for the special package has not made a U turn demanding Special status for the state. The Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has already promised that if voted to power the Congress would accord special status to Andhra Pradesh.
The TRS MPS under the leadership of Kavitha have supported the cause of special status to AP. KCR the Telangana CM also made statements supporting the special status to AP.
But the BJP government has ruled out the possibility of giving special status to AP. On the other hand, the TDP has lined up some protests against the centre. They would implement them in February.
