Biryani takes the back seat

The popular Hyderabad Biryani which was supposed be topping the list on delivery plafroms is not that popular now. The latest is that Idly orders are more than that of the the Biryani orders.

Thsese days every tom dick and harry is selling Biryani on the street side and the demand for the so called Biryani is coming down. The on set of summer is also one of the reasons.

But the demand for Ramzan is as usual. During the last year, an Idly lover spent an unbelievable amount of Rs 6 lakh on his favorite dish, according to the latest statement issued by Swiggy.

It is reported that the consumer, who hails from Hyderabad, ordered 8,428 plates of idlis, including orders placed for family and friends, while traveling across cities like Chennai and Bangalore.

March 30 is celebrated as World Idli Day, and on this occasion, Swiggy released its reports covering the period from March 30, 2022, to March 25, 2023. The analysis offers interesting insights into the popularity of the south Indian delicacy. In the last 12 months, Swiggy has delivered 33 million plates of idlis.

Even in foreign countries and hospitals across the world Idly is very popular and they recommend it for patients as the old is not used for making these vapour cakes.
