TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said in connection with the auspicious Vaikunta Ekadasi festive day, devotees had a satisfactory Vaikuntadwara Darshan for which TTD had made elaborate arrangements.
The Chairman greeted devotees and said devotees had comfortable Vaikuntadwara Darshan and blessings of Sri Venkateswara without any hassle on the holy day.
There was an overflow of Pilgrims to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams Yesterday with VVIPs and the VIPs.
Today it looked as if the rush has come down, but the flow is more than the regular days as the TTD has been issuing the darshan tokens in advance.
Thousands of devotees arrived at Tirumala and attempted to join the queue lines and compartments. The police and TTD vigilance and security staff intervened to maintain order.
The authorities claimed that the queue lines and compartments were already full.
TTD deployed special teams to manage the crowds and provide amenities to those standing in queues. Police personnel also maintained vigil to ensure orderly movement of the lines.
About 2 lakh darshan tokens were issued to the devotees. The ongoing darshan slot booking has been extended till Dec 27.
