The Bheeshma of the BJP Atal Behari Vajpayee passed away at 93. One of the tallest leaders of India. He was in politics for more than 5 decades and left his mark on the country. He started Jana Sangh in 1951. He was the Prime Minister of the country three times and led the government for 5 years in one term.

He was the only man who led a government for 5 years baring the Congress party. He worked for Janasangh in 1949. He is the man who can talk on any subject without any preparation and his talks in the Parliament are still cherished and they are laced with humour and hard facts. Vajpayee is the leader who made Modi as the CM of Gujarat and later Modi grew to the level of the Prime Minister.

There was an indication that it was difficult for Vajpayee when JP Nadda indicate that they were trying their level best. At about 5 Pm Vajpayee was declared dead.

He went to AIIMS several times since last 3 months and was being treated for various ailments. He studied in Hindi, English and also Sanskrit. People travelled from one place to other to hear his lectures and speeches.

There is no alternative to Vajpayee in politics. He worked with Nehru and Nehru liked him very much. They had debates in Parliament. He also received Bharata Ratna from the Indian Government.

He was elected to the parliament for the first time in 1957. PM Modi said that it is a personal loss to him, that Vajpayee has expired.
