“Bathukamma Celebrations were greatly instrumental in understanding the vibrant culture of Telangana”–Said the Trainee Civil Servants and MES Probations unanimously The floral festival of Telangana, Bathukamma, was celebrated at Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana with gaiety and reverence. On this occasion, the women trainees and employees of the Institute decorated Bathukamma stacks with beautiful seasonal flowers. The entire campus of the Institute was decked up with vibrant colours as a part of the grand celebrations.
The Trainee Civil Servants and Military Engineer Services Probationers, from across the country, who are attending their respective Foundation Courses, participated in the celebrations with great enthusiasm. In addition, the Officers, Faculty, and Staff, of the Institute participated in the celebrations in large numbers.
Making circles, the trainees and employees, both males and females, sang traditional songs, danced around the Bathukammas, and clapped hands in unison. The proactive participation of the trainee Civil Servants and Military Engineer Services Probationers, from across the country, in the festivities was a pleasant surprise for one and all. The dazzling display of their colourful costumes and dancing skills captured the hearts of every one present. All of them received huge rounds of applause and admiration for their excellent performances.
Sri Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka, IAS, Director General, Dr MCR HRD Institute & Principal Secretary to Govt of Telangana, who graced the occasion, said that Bathukamma festival is an integral part of the rich culture, traditions, and values of Telangana State.
“Even though Bathukamma is a State festival of Telangana, it is now being celebrated not only across the country but also abroad“, Sri Benhur Ekka, IAS stated.
“Participation in the Bathukamma Celebration, which is an embodiment of Telangana’s rich cultural identity, was greatly instrumental in understanding the vibrant culture of Telangana”, said the Trainee Civil Servants and Military Engineer Services Probations unanimously.
The trainees and women employees set afloat the beautifully stacked Bathukammas in the Bathukamma Sarover on the campus of the Institute.
