Bank awards Covid Crisis Support Scholarship to children of Telangana Police Personnel

A private Bank today awarded Covid Crisis Support Scholarship to children of Telangana State Police Personnel, who lost lives to Covid-19. The scholarship is part of Parivartan, Bank’s umbrella brand for all social responsibility initiatives.

The demand drafts were handed over to students by Bank officials Mr. Tarun Chaudhry, Branch Banking Head ,Mr. Badri Vishal, Circle Headand Mr Jose Stephen, Zonal Headin presence of DGP Telangana State PoliceMr. M Mahendar Reddy, IPS; Mr. UmeshSharraf, IPS and DG – Welfare, Telangana State Police; Mr. Jitender , IPS Addl DG ( Law & Order)

The scholarship programme is meant for school students as well as those pursuing UG, PG and diploma courses. Under this scholarship scheme, students have been provided with a one-time financial assistance ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 75,000. The scholarship has been offered to 25 children of Telangana State Police Personnel.

This initiative is a part of the bank’s Parivartan Covid Crisis Support Scholarship which was launched in 2021. The Parivartan Covid Crisis Support Scholarship has helped around4,200 students under two categories:

School (from class 1 to 12)
College (diploma, graduation & PG courses)

“Students are the future of our nation, and their education is important,” said Mr Tarun Chaudhry, BBH, Bank.“The pandemic has adversely impacted many families across the country and the education of many students is at risk. During this time of crisis, we believe in supporting talented young individuals who are going through hardships due to the pandemic and are at risk of dropping out from schools or colleges. As a socially responsible corporate citizen we will lend our support in every manner possible. We have therefore awarded an additional scholarship programme for those impacted by COVID to support more students.”
