BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay who wanted to do a Dharma Deeksha was arrested by the police in Jangaon. More than five hundred police were used while arresting Sanjay this morning.
The BJP workers resisted the arrest of Bandi Sanjay, but the police picked him up as a preventive measure. We do not know where he is being shifted from the Dharma Deeksha compound.
The police and the BJP workers clashed with each other and some women workers of the party were hurt during the police action. High tension prevailed in Jangaon on the arrest of Bandi Sanjay.
The BJP leaders have condemned the arrest of Bandi Sanjay. Sanjay stated that the TRS was worried about his pada yatra as he was getting an overwhelming response.
Minister KTR on the other hand has cancelled his program of flyover inauguration as the situation in the city is not conducive after the arrest of MLA Rajasingh and BJP chief Bandi Sanjay.
The old city is tense and Janagaon is also tense with the arrest of the BJP MLAs and workers here in Telangana. Meanwhile the BJP Incharge of Telangana, Tarun Chugh has called Sanjay on phone to talk about the arrests and the partisan attitude of the TRS.
