There is a talk that the BJP was offering Chiranjeevi an RS membership. The offer was made by the PM Modi directly during the swearing-in ceremony of the NDA Government.

Chiranjeevi was honoured with the second highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, by the Government of India.
