Nandamuri Balakrishna the Nata Simham and Hindupur MLA is giving biryani to the people at Rs 2. Daily he is feeding around 400 people it is reported.
Earlier there was Anna canteen at the same spot and the shop was taken away by the YSRC cadres. Now Anna canteen has come up on the street near the same place and they are serving all kinds of food for Rs 2.
The street canteen has completed 200 days and they have served chicken Biryani for Rs 2. Sometimes the donors give the food free of cost also. The labor and workers enjoy the food on the street.
They remember that Rs 2 rice was given during the NTR time and now Balakrishna is giving cooked food for Rs 2. Many Anna canteens which were popular across the state of AP were closed by the YSRC leaders as a political vendetta and unable to tolerate the popularity of the TDP and NTR.
TDP Chief Chandrababu had to fight with the YSRC leaders to continue these canteens for serving food to the poor. The construction workers are the main beneficiaries of this food.
Many Anna canteens have been closed and the other joints opened near these canteens are being shifted from time to time. People who are dependent on this cheap food are cursing the YSRC leaders and the police.
Many canteens and eating joints were closed in the name of Traffic jams by the police. But the TDP leaders are providing the food some how or the other way to the poor and the needy,
