Babu and KCR compete for Ambedkar

Ambedkar is one National figure whom people cherish to keep it everywhere and any where. Especially the poor and downtrodden look up to him as a god . Now both the chief Ministers of the Telugu states are in sort of competition to install the gigantic statues of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

KCR is one man who has fought for the upliftment of the poor and down trodden and he is being called the Telangana Bapu .  K Chandrasekhar Rao’s long cherished dream to install a 125 feet statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is still unfulfilled whereas his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu is moving swiftly towards establishing a giant statue of Ambedkar in Amaravathi.

KCR first announced the installation of Ambedkar statue near Secretariat premises in Hyderabad. The TS government has already constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee with Ministers. The team has visited China and Mizoram to study the material to be used for the construction of the statue. The work is in progress  in this direction in a big way.

It looks like both are vying with each other in a competition mode to install the statue at the earliest.

Soon after KCR’s announcement, Naidu also followed the suit and announced to set up an Ambedkar statue at Amaravati. AP government is in the process of finalizing the (DPR) Detailed Project Report and getting ready to call tenders by August end.

Lets see who will do the job at the earliest.
