The UK Parliament in London has been suspended after an attack on pedestrians outside and a stabbing inside the premises.
Reports say many people have been injured after being struck by a vehicle which mounted the pavement on Westminster Bridge nearby. It is reported that 5 dead and several injured in this attack.
Inside the parliament’s grounds, a policeman was stabbed before being shot by armed officers.
A statement has been made in the House of Commons saying the premises were in lockdown.
David Liddington, the leader of the House, said an assailant who stabbed a policeman inside the grounds had been shot by police.
A spokesman has said that the Prime Minister Theresa May is “safe”.
Police are on the scene. Ambulances have been seen on the bridge as people are treated for injuries.
