Chinna Jeeyar Swamy along with his followers was performing a Gopura partistapana pooja for an Ashtalaxmi Temple near Kothapet. A huge pandal with Bamboo sticks was erected for Jeeyar Swamy to reach the height of the gopuram of Temple. All of a sudden the stage caved in while Jeeyar was performing the Pooja at that height along with the other priests.
Luckily the stage which was supposed to Collapse went to the other stand and it rested on the Temple Gopuram. Jeeyar and Priests could escape with some minor bruises and were saved from falling down. The video of the stage caving and resting on the temple went viral. A lady’s voice was heard shouting as to why so many people should climb on the stage.
The wooden stage was not done well and the bamboos used were not strong enough to take the weight of the priests. Luckily the stage did not collapse it went to the other side and rested by the side of Gopuram. Jeeyar and other priests had a miraculous escape.
