Heavy rains are lashing coastal areas because of the Asani cyclone. The districts of Northern Andhra are lashed by heavy rains. Odisha border is also experiencing heavy rains.
Winds are blowing with a speed of around fifty kilometres. Big trees and power poles are getting uprooted in these areas. The collectors are monitoring the situation from time to time.
The NDRF teams have already been deployed to take up the relief measures. Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy is getting the details on an hourly basis and he is in regular touch with the district collectors.
Heavy rains are reported from across the AP in the coastal areas. Visak, Krishna, Guntur , Godavari are getting heavy rains. The cyclone is expected to become weak by the next day morning.
A high alert has been given at the Uppada beach. The control room has been opened at Bapatal to monitor the situation.
