Yesterday i.e.on 26.04.2023 in the evening hours the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) and Madhapur Team of Cyberabad have apprehended the notorious human and drug trafficker who was absconding, Sofin Abbas Patel s/o Abbas Patel, age 38 years r/o High Class Residency, Patil Nagar Bavdhan, Pune n/o. E-Ward, Savera Sardar colony, Tarabai Park, Kolhapur, Maharashtra State at Vinayak nagar, Gachibowli in a joint operation. The accused was caught red handedly with 8 grams of MDMA drug and operates in multiple states . This arrest is in continuation of the major prostitution racket busted by Cyberabad Police in December-2022 in which around (60) traffickers of women have been arrested. The accused Sofin Abbas Patel has been the supplier of Drug and women to Adheem @ Arnav who is one of the kingpin of prostitution racket arrested in December-2022 in Cr. No. 1338 /2022 u/s 370, 370(A)(2) IPC, Sec. 3,4,5 and 6 of PITA Act and Sec. 27 of NDPS Act of Gachibowli PS. This operation is in furtherance of commitment and efforts by Cyberabad Police in making Cyberabad free of Prostitution and a safe place for women.
