There is all-round appreciation for the double bedroom houses being built by Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao in Telangana. It was KCR the forward-looking chief Minister who changed the scenario of the poor housing in the state.
They were generally very small houses and now KCR with the help of the central government has made it into double bedroom houses and they are no less than the flats that we purchase.
There is no contribution of the owner and completely free for them. When it comes to AP the YSRC leaders are pointing out that the double bedrooms are so small that a couple cannot even have the first night in them.
That means they are so small that the couple cannot sleep properly. The construction is also very weak it is reported. In urban areas, the houses are built in 48 square yards while in rural areas they are built in an area of 72 square yards it is reported.
But the leaders are of the opinion that they are very small. Now they are demanding a bigger house like the Telangana where a family can stay happily.
It was KCRs vision that he could convince the centre to contribute for one room being built in Telangana and they turned into double bedrooms.
While Jagan has been drawing flak from every quarter for the work he is doing, KCR is getting appreciation as a visionary.
The other day there was a program on the Discovery channel saying that while every state will have water problems after 2050, Telangana will have sufficient water, thanks to the Kaleshwaram project.
