Vijayamma and Sharmila are in a dilemma. Which way to go. They are unable to run the party and are waiting for the green signal from Sonia Gandhi.
Many leaders are joining the Congress but there has been no step forward with respect to the merger of Sharmila’s party with the Congress.
While Sharmila wants to work in Telangana, the Congress wants Sharmila to work in Andhra Pradesh against Jagan.
This is an awkward situation for Sharmila and Vijayamma. They have to talk against the family member.
It is learnt that Sharmila had urged the Congress leadership to finalize her position, as the election schedule is likely to be released soon.
Several Congress leaders, including TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy, objects to Sharmila’s entry into the party, as many of them fear it would be like giving a weapon to the BRS.
Revanth Reddy has suggested that Sharmila’s role in the party should be confined to Andhra Pradesh. We have to wait and watch as to what would Sharmila do in the near future.
Will she get a seat to contest is the other question.
