The Andhra Pradesh government has given permission for cinema halls with 50 per cent occupancy. Dine-in restaurants, gymnasiums, and marriage halls will reopen from July 8 with half capacity.

The Telangana Government is yet to decide over the matter. The AP Government has concluded that the Corona cases have come down and they are back into the business.

The Telangana Chief Secretary Somehs Kumar met with the Cinema exhibitors today and will decide on the opening of the theatres with 50 per cent capacity.

The OTT business is already cutting into the business of the theatres and the Cinema exhibitors will get affected in the long run.

The exhibitors have met and requested the producers not to go for the OTT platforms for the release of the movies. Big producers and theatre owners like Suresh Babu are opting for the OTT.

Suresh is going for the OTT release of Drishyma 2 and also Narappa according to the reports. These are remake movies with Venkatesh as the hero but have very good potential at the Box office.

But still, Suresh and Venkatesh have opted for the OTT and they are not sure if the audience would return to the theatres in the coming days.

Right now the Cinema business is in deep trouble due to Corona. The producers are just waiting for the release of the movies.
