TTD will grandly organize Anantha Padmanabha Vratam on September 28 in Tirumala.
On this occasion, at 6 am on Thursday, Sri Sudarshana Chakratthalwar will be brought from Tirumala temple to Swamy Pushkarini situated near Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy temple on a procession.
The priests perform a special Abhishekam followed by a holy dip of Sudarshana Chakratthalwar and then return to the temple.
Ananta Padmanabha Vratam is held every year in 108 Sri Vaishnava temples across the country on this day. As Tirumala is the premiere of the 108 Sri Vaishnava divine places, the Ananta Padmanabha Vratam is performed by the priests in a big way.
Chakrasanam is performed four times a year on the last day of Srivari Brahmotsavam in Tirumala, Vaikuntha Dwadashi, Rathasapthami and Ananta Padmanabhavratham. TTD is organising tender cum sale of clothes donated by devotees to Srivari temple and other TTD temples on September 29.
They include new/ used/ partially damaged clothes in 14 lots comprising of new art sarees, new art silk dhotis/ uppers, used and damaged dhotis, new polyester/ nylon/Nylex sarees, new lungis, ordinary towels/ uppers, polyester uppers, turkey towels, readymades and hundi galibs.
