Stalin the new Chief Minister of Tamilnadu has assured that the Amma canteens will continue as it is and his Government will not disturb them. They are very popular and are providing food to the poor and needy on daily basis.
It may be noted that Jagan Mohan Reddy after taking over the AP as the CM has renamed Anna canteens as Rajanna Canteens. Here Anna canteens are named after senior NTR who was the CM of AP.
Later Rajanna canteens also stopped serving food to the poor. The labour was dependent on the Anna canteens which were giving good breakfast and lunch also in a big way.
But Stalin the new chief Minister has clarified that the canteens will function during the lockdown also and provide three times food for the poor and needy.
That is the difference between Stalin and Jagan. The poor people in AP are demanding that Anna canteens must be reopened. There is talk that in some Anna canteens liquor bottles are being sold and are being used as godowns.
Jagan also has wasted a lot of money in painting some local offices with the flag colors of YSRC. Stalin openly said that all the welfare measures implemented by the Jaya Government will continue as they are for the welfare and wellbeing of the poor.
So Jagan must take a leaf from Stalin for helping the poor and needy in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
