The state government has released a GO in 2015 that the Amaravathi would be the capital of Andhra Pradesh said MP GVL Narasimha Rao . But the GO has not been marked to the central Government GVL stated.
Now the YSRC Government announced that they would go for 3 capitals but nothing has been informed to the central government as it was not ncecessary he opined.
The state government has all the liberty to locate the capital in any part of the state. The issue comes under the purview of the state and not the central government.
The centre has not got anything to do with this decision. As of now, Amaravathi is the capital as notified by the TDP Government. So far the new Government has not given any information to the centre.
But the BJP wants Amaravati to be continued as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. We told that there were land deals when Amravathi was named as the capital he said.
The new Government can issue another GO in this context he said. The centre will take the new GO also into consideration he stated. GVL asserted that the centre has got nothing to do with the decision of the capital.
The same was given in writing by the Union Minister yesterday in the parliament on a questioned given by the TDP MP Galla Jaydev. The answer cannot be found in Delhi and it is with the state government he said.
The centre cannot interfere with the rights of the state Government he clarified. Jagan was elected by the people and it is fro the YSRc Government to take the decision.
