The Congress leaders are in a dilemma now. They are repenting on the alliance of Congress with TDP. Some senior Congress leaders are of the opinion that it would have have been better if they would have gone all alone for the Telangana polls.
The Kutami experiment and especially the alliance with TDP is a big mistake they are saying. The alliance is giving focus to Babu and they do not know if the people would vote for the Congress or not.
The TRS wave is sweeping the entire Telangana. KCR is getting a good response in all the districts, while KTR is taking care of the city. Majority of the families in Telangana or enjoying some scheme or the other and that makes all the difference. One welfare scheme will fetch the votes of a family for the TRS. That is more than enough for winning the elections.
Here the candidates won’t matter for the people. They are looking at the benefits apart from KCR who is doing a lot of welfare for them. Power and water are the main vote catchers for the TRS.
In this scenario, many of the Congress leaders have come to the conclusion that they would lose the elections and that the TRS is going to win. The alliance with TDP has made all the difference to them. The Kutami will benefit the TDP here and there. But the Congress is in deep trouble because of the Alliance. It is like a national party coming into the fold of a regional party.
On the whole, the Congress leaders are not confident of winning the elections.
