All roads lead to Vijayawada

People in all modes of transport are coming to Renigunta to witness the swearing-in of the cabinet of the NDA Government.

The VIPs are already in the traffic jams and the police are finding it difficult to find a way for them to reach the meeting place. Kesarapalli is already under the SPG surveillance.

Traffic jams across Vijayawada are being reported. 24 Ministers along with the Chief Minister Chandrababu will take oath. Pawan Kalyan will take oath as the Deputy CM along with the Home Portfolio.

As many as 7,000 police personnel were deployed for the security and NTR district police commissioner Rama Krishna said only the vehicles with authorised passes will be allowed to enter the venue in Gannavaram.

The government made arrangements for a live screening of the swearing-in ceremony for the general public. LED screens have been set up at IGMC stadium, B.R. Ambedkar Smirti Vanam, Bus Station, Railway Station, the Lenin Centre, the Patamata ZP Boys High School, the Makineni Basava Punnaiah Stadium, the Gymkhana Grounds and Vidyadarapuram Mini Stadium in Vijayawada city. Similarly, LED screens have been arranged in all cities and towns of AP for the convenience of the public.

The SPG for security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted its advanced security liaison (ASL) trial run with Krishna district police and officials of the central Intelligence agencies. The ASL was conducted from the Gannavaram airport to the area near the IT Park at Kesarapalli.
