All roads in Hyderabad today lead to Hussain Sharaga popular as the tank bund. Ganesh idols of various sizes would come in procession from Balapur after the laddu action and then they would immerse the idols at tankbund. Special cranes have been mounted on either side of the lake and the traffic has been cleared for the same en route to Hussain Sagar from Charminar. The regular traffic is not allowed on the immersion route.
CC Cameras have been arranged all along the procession route, and there is command control monitoring the idols immersion and the progress of the procession from time to time.
Thousands of Ganeshas of all sizes are expected to be immersed in the lake waters and this process might continue till the early hours of Monday. The procession is expected to cross Charminar by afternoon. Ganeshas of various sizes, shapes and form with band baaja and baarat would come in procession via Abids to Liberty crossroads and then would go to the lake for the procession.
A special crane has been mounted this time for the Bada Ganesh at Khairatabad. It is reported that the regular crane has failed technically. The GHMC has made arrangements for water all along the procession route and they would also clear the debris from the lake waters. 15000 police have been deployed for the procession purpose.
