The Court hall is filled with advocates to hear the arguments of Lawyer Luthra to get a quash order for former CM Chandrababu Naidu.

Luthra will challenge the ACB ruling in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court would, today take up a hearing on Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s SLP challenging the AP High Court’s order dismissing his FIR quash petition in the skill development scam.

Luthra is trying to impress upon the Bench with the Section 17 A. Luthra and others want to establish that it was a case of Political vendetta by the ruling party and that there was no evidence of whatsoever to arrest Chandrababu.

The number 3 court hall was filled with lawyers today at noon to hear the arguments of Luthra.

Babus counsel Siddarth Luthra submitted a mention memo seeking a hearing of Naidu’s SLP. Accordingly, Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud decided to hear the SLP.

Luthra in his plea, asked the apex court to strike down the case booked against him in the skill development scam as the FIR was booked without taking prior permission from the Governor, “as was required” under the provisions of Section 17 A of Prevention of Corruption Act.

When Babus counsels met the CJI on Monday, he asked them to get the case mentioned on Tuesday for a hearing on Wednesday. They also informed him that Babu was in judicial remand from September 10 after his arrest in the case in Nandyal.
