All about Chandrayaan -2

ISRO loses contact with GSAT

Now the world is looking at Chandrayaan -2 experiment to be done from Sriharikota in the early hours of Monday. President Ramnath Kovind will be there in person during the launch. Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that a human being will be sent to the moon by 2022.

When compared to others India would be doing the project at a lower cost. The Chandrayaan is expected to cost around Rs 1000 crore to India.President Ramnath Kovind is on the way to Sriharikota from Tirupathi.

1.Chandrayaan 2 is the second foray into the moon. The Chandrayaan one mission costed around Rs 450 crore for India.
2. If the Mission Chandrayaa 2 is accomplished ISRO will become commercially viable as we are spending very less when compared to NASA. ISRO has very less budget when compared with NASA.
3. India will be the fourth country to land a spacecraft of the Lunar surface.
4. This is a complex mission and we have not undertaken such a mission said ISRO Chief Sivan who had the Lord Balaji darshan before going for the countdown of Chandrayaan 2.
5. The GSLV is named after Baahubai the popular movie of Rajamouli. It is as high as a 15 storey building. It will lift the 3.8-tonne satellite into the orbit. The GSLV weighs 640 tonnes.
6. The entire equipment is designed and made in India.
7. The final landing which would take around 15 minutes is the crucial part said Sivan the ISRO chief.
8. The entire world is watching the launch being done by India from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
