There are rumours that there is a shortage of Covid Vaccine in Mumbai and that some centres have already been closed.
There is also a talk that people from Mumbai are migrating to Hyderabad for Vaccination and also treatment. The court has warned the Telangana Government to check the people coming from other states to Hyderabad.
The CM KCR had a meeting with the DGP and other police officials to see that the Covid regulations are implemented very strictly.
The lockdown is ruled out but isolation centres have already been identified to use in case of any emergency.
In some states like Andhra Pradesh and Bihar, however, current stocks are for less than two days and in others like Odisha, even with what’s on the way, they’ll have barely enough for four days.
This analysis is based on health ministry data on the total number of doses supplied to each state as of 12.30 pm on Thursday, the number of doses already used up by them, doses in the pipeline, and the average level of daily vaccination by each state since April 1, when the drive was expanded to include those over 45 .
The State of Telangana has received over 25 lakh doses of Covid vaccines out of which close to 4.50 lakh doses are Covaxin of Bharat Biotech and 20.5 lakh doses are Covishield vaccine of Serum Institute.
The Chief Minister, taking note of the increasing Covid-19 cases in the country, appealed to the people in the State to strictly follow Covid guidelines and wear masks, maintain physical distancing and be cautious every moment to contain the spread of the virus.
At this stage of the pandemic, we are not in a situation to choose. Please get yourself vaccinated with the available vaccine at the earliest. Vaccination is the only way that we can defeat the Covid pandemic,” the officials said.
