Slowly the marriage publicity for Samantha is dying down. The controversy of Akhils marriage is also subsiding. Now the entire Akkineni family is concentrating on acting careers and they want a hit for Akhil at any cost.
After recently expressing concern over actresses in the South not getting meaty roles, it looks like Samantha’s dream of doing substantial roles is about to come true.
It is learnt that the actress, who was mostly limited to glamorous roles, will be seen in the role of a village belle who is speech impaired in her next film with actor Ram Charan, directed by Sukumar.
“Samantha is set to spring a surprise in this very interesting role, which is a first for her. She was all kicked about the opportunity to get into the skin of this character,” informs a source.
Ram Charan also plays a partially hearing impaired person in this film, a rural drama. The team is currently shooting in locations close to Rajahmundry. Samantha also wants to become busy again. But there is pressure from the Akkinenis that Chaitanya should get married at the earliest.
On the other hand Nagarjuna wants to come back with a mass movie as his Om Namo Venkatesaya could not make any impact at the box office in the recent times.
