Amala the wife of Akkineni Nagarjuna was furious with the Municipal authorities in Hyderabad. The Municipal department is headed by K Taraka Rama Rao. KTR is a good friend of Akkinenis, but the officials could not do much in terms of sterilising the dogs. There were reports that lots of dogs were being just killed ruthlessly by the Municipalities in recent times.
The issue was brought to the notice of Amala who heads the blue cross which protects the animals especially dogs. She is involved in the sterilisation of dogs. Amala who talked to the officials here in Hyderabad said that the dogs must be sterilised and killing them was not right. It goes against the animal rights. Amala is looking after so many stray dogs also. These days the dogs are making the news.
Earlier a dog was buried under the road while laying the road and this news was all over the papers.Now several dogs were killed and it has also made big news in the city. On the other hand, Samantha is the brand ambassador for handlooms in Telangana. Earlier there was some rift with Nagarjuna and Municipal officials on the N convention centre and later it was settled.
