The DMK party is looking at Owaisi to get good support from the Minorities. Like KCR the Telangana Chief Minister, DMK leaders have also come to a conclusion that the Minority support can get them a good number of seats.

Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, All India Majlis- e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi will participate in DMK’s Chennai conference on January 6 it is learnt.

But there is no confirmation from the Owaisi side. MIM is trying to gain some strength across the country and it has been successful.

They did well in the GHMC election in Hyderabad and did not lose anything when it comes to numbers. DMK minority secretary Mastan met Asaduddin Owaisi requesting him to attend the public function.

This has sparked off rumours of a possible alliance between the two parties. However, AIMIM is tight-lipped as of now. It had earlier announced that it will contest the Assembly election due in April-May 2021.
