The farmers who were agitating to retain Amaravathi as the Andhra Capital will be having Srivari Darshan today at TTD. The farmers walked 45 kilometres in 5 days and ended the padayatra here at the Srivari Padalu.
Around 800 tickets were issued by the TTD authorities. They were given Supdam tickets here for the Lords Darshan. They can have darshan today up to 6pm.
The farmers were happy that the TTD has provided them with the darshan tickets. The Jagan Government which repealed the earlier bill of the three capitals is said to be coming up with a new bill.
The members of around 200 families have participated in the walk to Tirumala in the name of Nyasthanam to Devasthanam. The farmers were advised not to give any slogans on the hill shrine as it is purely religious.
The agitation has been happening for 727 days. Jai Amaravathi, Jai Jai Amaravathi is the slogan for retaining the capital. The RTC has provided buses from Alipiri to Tirumala for Balaji Darshan.
Some of them gave the slogans Saven Amaravathi, Save Andhra Pradesh.
