After Chiranjeevi and his 150th movie the controversial director Ram Gopal Varma chose to run down stars like Rajinikanth, Ajith, Suriya, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush and other stars who have expressed their opposition to the Jallijattu ban.
RGV opined that the film stars and other were looking for popularity and also votes . They are not bothered about the plight of the animals he opined. Stars had even assembled at Nadigar Sangam to lend their support to the protest.
However, Ram Gopal Varma doesn’t share the same opinion and has slammed the celebrities protesting against the ban.
The director , who is known for his controversial statements on Twitter, went on a rant in a series of tweets against the celebrities and the sport in general. He accused the celebrities of supporting the movement only for votes and tickets and called out the ‘barbaric’ treatment of the bulls in the sport.
On the other hand the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that all efforts are being made to fulfil the cultural aspirations of Tamil people, a day after an executive order or ordinance by the state, which allows the bull-taming sport of Jallikattu, was cleared by the centre.
