It is a neck to neck fight between the TRS and the BJP here in Dubbaka byelection. It looks like there is no sympathy for the ruling party candidate Sujatha.
People have voted BJP as an alternative to the TRS. This could make a big difference for the TRS in the coming Municipal polls. Congress party is at a distant third position.
BJP candidate Ragunnandan polled around 32000 votes after 10 rounds of counting. The TRS candidate Sujatha polled around 28000 votes. The Congress candidate polled around 8000 votes.
The TRS got the majority in only 3 rounds while BJP got the majority in the other rounds. Around 165000 votes were polled in Dubbaka. The BJP after 10 rounds is leading by around 3800 votes.
Another 13 rounds of votes counting is remaining in Dubbaka. Dubbaka can be taken as the benchmark for the next elections in Telangana. The TRS must now mend the ways of Governance.
Police raids against the BJP leaders in Siddipet and the looting of funds in Hyderabad flood relief have made all the difference to the TRS in this election.
We can say that Harish at Siddipet and KTR in Hyderabad have bungled the show for TRS. The people have proved the TRS wrong this time.
Muthyam Reddy and Ramalinga Reddy could not get any sympathy vote this time in by election.
