An Aerospace University will be established in the state of Telangana in Hyderabad said K Taraka Rama Rao the Minister for IT and Industries. he was speaking at a program organised by the CII in the name of defence conclave here in Hyderabad.
The Minister said that the Centre was not according to permission for a defence hub in Hyderabad and instead it was giving permissions to other states.
KTR said that he has talked to the Union Ministers to give permission for a defence industrial corridor in Hyderabad. He said that some spare parts being used in the defence were being manufactured on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
He said that the state government was ready for building up a defence industrial corridor to manufacture equipment related to the defence. The central government must consider the request of the Telangana state so that it would also generate employment he suggested.
The industrial areas in Kusahiguda and Balanagar are already doing the manufacturing some spare parts related to the rockets and also the defence equipment here. But it can be taken up in a big way the Minister opined.
At the same time, some parts related to the defence shoppers are also being manufactured in RR district.
