In the Mahabubnagar-Hyderabad- Ranga Reddy MLC elections the counting of the first priority votes process has been completed. In seven rounds the TRS candidate is lead by Surabhi Vani Devi the daughter of former Prime Minister PV Narsimha Rao by. 8,021 votes on the nearest Ramachandra Rao of BJP.
In seven rounds, the TRS candidate has got 1,12,689 votes . The BJP candidate Ramachandra Rao has got 1,04,668 votes, independent candidate Professor Nageswarra polled 53,610 votes.
31,554 votes polled for Congress candidate, 5,973 votes for TDP candidate L Ramana. In seven rounds 21,309 votes are not valid. The process of counting second preferred votes is has to be taken up as the first priority votes have not decided the selection of the MLC candidate.
The counting of the second priority votes is going on. It might go up till the midnight. The final decision might be taken after 18 to 20 hours. It will easily take another 24 hours for the final result to come out in the MLC election.
If the second priority vote goes against the TRS Government then the BJP leader Ramachandra Rao will scape though and win the election. But if the second priority vote comes to TRS, Vanidevi will get the seat. But overall the situation is like advantage TRS.
KCR the CM of Telangana has already announced that they will get the two MLC seats. The selection of Vani Devi from Brahmin community has made all the difference to the BJP candidate.
The Brahmin vote has virtually split between the BJP and the TRS. Now it could be anybodys game.
