Popular advertisement filmmaker, Alyque Padamsee, died in Mumbai this morning. He was 90 years old.
Padamsee brought revolution in advertising in India and is called as the Father of modern Indian advertising. He was the man who founded Lintas advertising.
Hamara Baja and Kamasutra ads were the brainchild from Padamsee.
He played the role of Ali Jinnan in Attenborough’s Gandhi film. His theatre production Tuglaq is very popular.
Padamsee received Padmasree in 2000.
