Vande Bharat train comes as one whole set, with engines at both ends, unlike the regular locomotives. Even the compartments will have their own motors fitted to the wheels with high acceleration and deceleration. The train will reach its top speed of 160 kmph in 140 seconds flat.”
The toilets are vacuum cleaned. Provisions like seats fitted with USB drives, power points, bigger windows, LED screens and automatic plug doors with sliding steps assure a thrilling and unparalleled travel experience for the passengers.
The train’s exterior appearance consists of an aerodynamic design. It has an advanced state-of-the-art safety feature, Kavach technology. Kavach technology is an indigenously developed system that helps avoid train collisions.
Its operational speed is 160 kmph. The bogies have fully suspended traction motors along with an advanced state-of-the-art suspension system. This makes the run smoother and safer.
It has a driver’s cabin at each end, which helps in faster turnaround at terminating stations. All the classes have reclining seats, while executive coaches are also equipped with 180-degree rotating seats. These rotational seats can be aligned in the direction of travel.

The intelligent braking system goes a long way towards better acceleration and deceleration. If there’s any emergency, the loco pilot and train guard can communicate with each other as well as passengers.
The coaches of the Vande Bharat Express are lighter as compared to other trains. What’s more, the windows are wider and the coaches have more room for baggage.
