Me Too revelations and allegations have stalled the production one movie here in Bollywood. Housefull 4 was under production and the Me Too allegations were levelled on the director and actor of the movie. While Nana Patekar said that the allegations were false, the director of the movie Sajid Khan said that he would step down until the allegations levelled against him were cleared.
Both of them felt that it was not right to continue with the movie after allegations. Akhay who was also working for the movie has said that he cannot continue with the project as there were allegations of Me Too on the director.
It may be noted that Aamir Khan who was doing a film with a popular director also quit his upcoming movie as there were also allegations against the Technical team.
Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, on the other hand, has suggested forming a panel of the retired judges to inquire into these allegations. Another Union Minister MJ Akbar is yet to respond over the allegations made by the lady journalists and he is on a foreign tour.
But one must also think as to what is the use of making allegations on the things which happened decades ago. A BJP lady functionary said that the women who made allegations should not be treated as innocent people and that they knew what they were doing. She opined that they must have resisted at that point in time.
