Akshay was called as a minimum guarantee hero. But the last two films of Akshay failed miserably at the box office.

Rakshabandahnthe latest from Akshay for the festival also failed miserably.

After the dud called Thugs of Hindustan, Amir failed with Lal Singh Chadda also. The appeal of Chinrajeevi and also Nagarjuna failed here in the Telugu states.

No crows at the theatres even after being a holiday today.

Both films were expected to draw audiences to theatres on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan, but failed miserably.

The movies ran at an average occupancy of 25 percent throughout the day and this is despite coming on the same day, which should ideally result in higher occupancies.

The Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya starrer edged past the Akshay Kumar starrer and this is no consolation for the film because that film had a higher production budget to begin with, and above that, was under production for over three years while the Akshay Kumar starrer was shot in the middle of the pandemic.
Now it is clear that we cannot take the public for granted.
