Former Minister Ghanta Srinivas is leading a group of TDP legislators who would fly to Delhi and join the BJP it is learnt. So far these are all rumours and speculations.

Chandrababu the TDP chief is abroad and the MLAs here are negotiating with the BJP leaders. There are 23 MLAs for the TDP. It is reported that around a dozen of them are looking as it is of no use staying politically loyal to Chandrababu.

After the MPs in Andhra, now it is MLAs who are wanting to stay with the power. The BJP has no numbers in Andhra, but if a dozen MLAs join the BJP, they may get the role of opposition in the YSRC Government.

AP Chief Minister

First, the MLAs were looking at YSRC. But the AP Chief Minister and YSRC Chief Jaganmohan Reddy has suggested that they have to resign and then join the YSRC. This is not acceptable to some of the MLAs.

Like in Telangana they just want to merge with the ruling party directly saying that they have no confidence in the leadership of the TDP chief Chandrababu.

The thinking is that Chandrababu should not remain in the post of the leader of the opposition. Jagan earlier announced that he was suggested to poach 6 MLAs from the TDP so that Babu will not become the LOP here in the Assembly. Jagan the CM said that he wants the presence of the opposition in the Assembly. He wants a healthy debate in the Assembly on the issues pertaining to the people.

But the Intelligence has submitted a report that some MLAs from the TDP want to cross over to the BJP for getting the things done in the coming next 5 years. The TDP will lose at least 10 MLAs to the BJP it is reported. It looks like Babu the former Chief Minister may lose the post of the leader of the opposition.
