This election campaign was a different one altogether. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for TRS and Vijayashanti for the Congress were in the forefront addressing a large number of meetings.
For the first time, Rahul Gandhi the Congress chief and Chandrababu the TDP chief came together on the same stage for the election campaign.
KCR was forced to shout and abuse some youth as they were disturbing his speech. Yogi Adityanath warned that Owaisis will run away like Nizam and would change Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar. Then someone remarked Hyderabadi Biryani would Bhagamathi biryani soon.
Balakrishna the MLA from TDP goofed up with Sarejahan se Achcha , Bul.bul.bul bul. He became a laughing stock at the meeting.
Rahul Gandhi did not visit any Temple here in Telangana. Akbar Owasi claimed that all the CMs must bow before the MIM and claimed for the CMs post. He wants to be the Kingmaker.
The campaign continued for about 3 months. More than a dozen surveys predicted the win of TRS. More than Rs 120 crore was seized by the election commission.
