With great respect towards poet and writer Dr C Narayan Reddy Telangana CM K Chandrasekhra Rao attended the funeral here in Hyderabad at Mahaprasthanam. The Telangana cultural troops gave rousing drum beat in respect of Narayan Reddy ,while the Government gave him state honors.
It is a good gesture on the part of the state Government for a great poet who made the Telugu people very proud. People from all walks of life gathered this morning at Telangana Saraswatha parishad and paid rich tributes. Government adviser Ramana Chary was at the helm of affairs.
Buses were arranged from all the districts at free of cost for the public to come to Hyderabad and attend the funeral. The CM KCR walked along with the procession of Narayan reddy, Ministers Kadiyam Srihari, Srinivas Yadav, and others were also present for the funeral procession.
No poet so for had the honor of this kind given to Narayan reddy by KCR. The CM not only attended but also supervised the funeral proceedings at Mahaprasthanam. He sat till the funeral pyre was lit and the body was consigned to flames.
The literature lovers and the fans of Narayan Reddy were overwhelmed at the good gesture and the respect shown by the TRS Government to Narayan Reddy. The CM just left his protocol behind and behaved like a common man. Never before such a visual was seen in a funeral and at the level of CM.
After a long time that is after 3 years we saw the organiser in the CM come again after the agitation days. He was controlling the crowd and also making way for the dead body to reach the destination . All of them looked at the CM with all the surprise and awe..
In this aspect one must say hats off to KCR.
