The state government has decided to hold inaugural function of the first World Telugu Conference in the state on the auspicious Vijayadasami day on Sept 30 and the conference will be held from October 22 to 28.
It was earlier decided that the inaugural ceremony would be held on June 2 on the state’s Formation day. But as the date falls under Ashtami and weather is not been conducive, State government’s advisor KV Ramanachary and other literary personalities have requested the CM for the change of dates.
They all met Honourable Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragati Bhavan today and discussed the organisation of the conference. They said it is better to organise the conference in October instead of June, which was earlier fixed.
They said that they require some time to invite delegates from Indian and abroad and to organise the conference on a larger scale. The CM has instructed them to organise the conference from October 22 to 28 and prepare an agenda.
