The collections are better than Dangal and Bajrangi. Regional movie making news internatinally. That is the stamina of Baahubali. Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu calls it a class and on par with Benhur and 10 commandments.
The film opened to a thumping response with a unanimous superhit talk across all the centres, and has been scripting history for its first day collections, making it the all-time highest opener ever in the history of Indian cinema. Analysts say that the Rajamouli directorial has had a better opening than Salman Khan’s Sultan (Rs 36.54 cr) and Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 29.78 cr).
Apparently, the film registered Rs 41 cr (gross) on the opening day. No Indian film has even come close to registering such box office numbers and analysts are predicting a record-shattering business.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together, Baahubali 2 made around Rs 42 cr on the first day (with only Nizam contributing Rs 9.5 cr). In Karnataka, the collections were around Rs 11 cr.
