Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao is upset with the sad demise of Government Advisor (Irrigation) Sri R Vidyasagar Rao. After hearing the news, the CM is drowned into sorrow. Ever since Sri Vidyasagar Rao was admitted into the Continental Hospitals after deterioration of his health, the CM was in constant touch with the hospital administration and enquired the day-to-day health condition of him.
The CM has also personally gone to the hospital and saw the ailing Sri Vidyasagar Rao. The CM also spoke to people who met him about Sri Vidyasagar Rao.
“During the Telangana Statehood movement, Sri Vidyasagar Rao had collected the statistics on how injustice was being done to the region in the Irrigation sector and created awareness among the people on the issue.
The way Sri Vidyasagar Rao waged a battle over the cheating and injustice done to the Telangana region in water and in Irrigation was unique and unparalled. Sri Vidyasagar Rao gave valuable advice to the TRS party and to myself and thus remained a guiding force. The vast experience of Sri Vidyasagar Rao in the irrigation field had immensely helped the Telangana State after its formation in re-designing the irrigation projects.
After Prof K Jayashankar, Vidyasagar Rao was another great personality that the Telangana had and the Telangana will never forgot Vidyasagar Rao. It is unfortunate that Vidyasagar Rao has left us midway when we are realising the dream of giving water to one crore acres in the State.
Vidyasagar Rao was not only a good friend to me, but also an elder brother and member of my family,” the CM said and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved.
The Chief Minister has instructed Chief Secretary Sri. S.P Singh to accord State Funeral to Late Vidyasagar Rao.
