The Telugu Association of North America (TANA), the renowned name for Indians in the USA for its activities fostering unity and support, is organizing its 2017 conference with many interesting activities. One such event is ‘MEDHA’ which is being organized by the Business Forum committee on May 28, 2017.

Many a times, one may get an idea in the middle of the night, going through news or while interacting with people. This idea when transformed into action may help in solving a recurring problem. Often many of us don’t take any steps to bring that idea to fruition. We only end up being surprised when we learn of successes of companies built on such simple ideas. Most successful businesses of today like Uber, Airbnb, etc. are built on ideas not extending more than one sentence. What distinguishes them from a raw idea is the effort made by the founders to validate that idea. MEDHA is a platform being created by TANA Business Forum where budding entrepreneurs and startups can showcase their ideas and validate them against the best minds. MEDHA also provides an opportunity for impress the Venture Capitalists with the idea’s business potential. MEDHA offers a strong support system for the product to get exposure and flourish. The winning idea will also be given a $5,000 prize money by TANA.

Entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit their idea on the application form which is at http://www.tana2017.org/medha . All submitted applications are thoroughly reviewed by the business forum committee. The last date to send in the applications is May 10th 2017. TANA contacts the selected ideas and verifies few details and extends invitations to the finalists to present their idea before the panel and VC’s at the TANA Annual convention. The event happens in St. Louis, USA.

Ram Talluri, the Chair of TANA Business Form, says that it is an opportunity for enterprising enthusiasts to come together and display their acumen. “We all know that we are a strong community with high intellectual capital. Events like MEDHA are aimed at driving more people to become the CEO’s of successful future startups”. Ram also asserts that no idea is big or small.

Apart from participating entrepreneurs, TANA is also inviting Sponsors and Venture Capitalists (VC’s) who wish to partner. It is a great stage to meet and appeal to specific target audience.
