Unlike the old stars the new generation is not completely dependent on the movies. They are investing in different business and want to keep themselves insulated from the losses that they make in movies. Some are into hotels some others into real estate so on and so forth. Superstar Mahesh Babu has mostly been a reclusive star and limited himself to acting throughout his career. Mahesh, after more than a decade and a half of his acting career, ventured into film production with Srimanthudu and scored a huge success.
His father Krishna also depended on movies and padmalaya studios and later was in financial trouble and was bailed out by Mahesh during the pokiri days. Now Mahesh is all set to foray into theaters business. Mahesh is reportedly holding talks with Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas to jointly establish multiplexes in the twin Telugu states. Apparently, the deal will start off with 25 theaters in the first phase. His sisters Husaband Galla Jaydev is an MP and also a shrewd business man.
This will give a lot of leverage to Mahesh while constructing the multiplexes in the Telugu states. Mahesh is a non controversial star and is equally close to the TRS and also the TDP.So entering the business is not a big issue. As it is the TDP Government and the TRS government are ready with a read carpet for the investors. The TS ipass gives single window clearences also and with Jaydev in AP, for Mahesh it is only matter of time.
Meanwhile, Mahesh’s 23rd movie in AR Murugadoss’ direction is progressing briskly in Chennai. The film’s highly-anticipated first look and title will be unveiled soon it is reported. Mahesh is having lot of hopes on this movies as his earlier movie bombed at the box office miserably. The directer goofed up the entire plot and it is reported that Mahesh has returned the signing amount.
