Singers are exploited in the film industry in tollywood says Pranavi. Talking to a channel Pranavi along with her husband who is a dance director said that Rs 5000 per song is the remuneration that she gets mostly and is not paid well.
She said that singing devotional songs will fetch her more money than the regular movie singing. There are times her song was named after Shreya Goshal as Goshal has sung it. There are times where Chitras song was removed and her ghost singing was played in the name of Chitra. But she agreed that remuneration is what matters.
But all are not of the same type she explained. The Chennai people are better in payments she opined. They want good talent at a cheaper rate and there are times where there was no payment also she explained. She is the wife of Raghu the dance master. There are people who sing for name and fame and that is the problem she said.
These free people actually cut into the professional singers payment she explained. She said that her husband wants her to learn dancing so that she gets big payments as dance master or assistant.
